Bridal Shower Ideas Using Tea Cups
Incorporate beautiful and elegant-looking tea cups into a bridal shower with any theme for a delightful addition to the celebration. Use them as table decorations, gifts or party favors for the guests or turn the dainty cups into a little bit of wild fun for the more liberal bride to be.

Party Table Decorations
-
Use a set of inexpensive teacups as an illusion-worthy decoration to take the spotlight as the table centerpiece. Place high-adhesive glue or hot glue around the bottom edges of one teacup and place it on an angle on top of another. Repeat to make a moderately high stack of teacups and then fill the top cup with fresh flower petals or herbal tea leaves. For a less daring-looking centerpiece, make a variety of smaller centerpieces using just two teacups and a saucer. Lay one teacup top down on the table, place a saucer face up on top and then one more teacup, right side up on top. Arrange a few small flowers on the saucer to complete the decoration.
Gifts
-
For a bride who has all the home items she needs for her upcoming married life, consider hosting a teacup bridal shower and have each guest bring an antique cup and saucer set for the bride. Alternatively, arrange with the party group to buy a new set of teacups and have each of the cups personalized with different messages of well-wishing from each guest. Fill the teacups with little extras, such as bath soaps, miniature massage oils or scented candles.

Favors
-
Use teacups as part of the shower favor for each guest. Buy plain teacups and have them engraved with the bridal shower details, such as the name of the bride and the date of the shower. Alternatively, buy some prettily decorated teacups and fill them with some fresh tea leaves, wrapped in cellophane. If sweets are more your preference, fill the teacups with goodies, such as chocolate-covered almonds, tiny teacup-shaped sugar cookies or chocolate truffles. Wrap the treat-filled teacups in cellophane wrap or tulle and tie the favor within using sleek satin ribbon.
A Unique Twist
-
For the refined bride who also has a wild side, turn a batch of teacups into an adult activity for all the guests to enjoy. Prepare a batch of Jello the night before the bridal shower, replacing the cold water with the bride’s favorite alcoholic beverage, such as rum or vodka. Pour small amounts of the liquid mixture into each of the teacups and then cool the teacups in the refrigerator until the shower begins. Offer each guest a teacup Jello shooter and don’t forget to offer a toast to the bride-to-be.
