Cheats for How to Get the Jeli in "Viva Pinata" for Nintendo DS
The Jeli is a jelly-type Yeti animal in the Nintendo DS game "Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise." This pinata is extremely rare, and to make matters worse there are no cheats available for this game. Getting the Jeli for your garden is however easy enough without any cheats, but you will need a large amount of luck. Once you have managed to get one of these elusive creatures, you can then cheat to get another one for free.

Stay at Level 6

The Jeli only makes its appearance when you are a Level 6 gardener. This means that once you reach this level, stop breeding pinata or doing anything else that gives you experience and causes you to level up. The longer you stay at Level 6, the greater the chance that the Jeli will make an appearance so you can get it. If you are already over Level 6, start a new game with a different garden and keep that one at Level 6. This allows you to continue with your main garden while occasionally checking back on the Level 6 garden.
Look for it at Night

The Jeli only makes an appearance when it is night time in your garden, so don't bother wasting any time looking for it during the day. When night falls, scan your garden for the Jeli as you won't receive any reports when one is spotted like you do with the other pinatas. Sell or turn off any lights that you have in the garden to further entice the Jeli into paying you a visit.

Hit It With Your Shovel

It might sound cruel, but the only way to get the Jeli, once it finally makes an appearance, is to whack it with your gardening shovel. Be sure to only hit it once, the goal is to briefly stun it and not kill it. Once the Jeli has been hit, its colors will change and it will join the rest of the pinata in your garden. There is no need for tricks such as building a fence around it; a simple whack with the shovel is all that is needed.
Send One to Yourself

Once you have a Jeli, you can cheat and send it to yourself to get a second one. Do this by selecting the "Copy Game" feature in the options menu and making a duplicate of your save game. Select the "Post Office" feature from Gretchen while in the game and pack the Jeli into a crate. After selecting "Send," don't select the wireless option but instead send the crate to your other save game. Load that garden, open the crate and you will have another Jeli.
