Why Does iTunes Randomly Skip Some of My Podcasts?
When you are listening to audio podcasts or watching video podcasts with Apple’s iTunes application on your computer, you could find that iTunes seems to be randomly skipping some of the podcasts. ITunes only plays the podcasts in the application’s library that are enabled, so if the application skips some, it means someone has disabled those podcasts.

Podcasts on iTunes Store

All audio and video podcasts are available for you to download for free from Apple’s iTunes Store via the iTunes application. Launch iTunes on your computer, and then click “iTunes Store” in the left pane of the iTunes window. Click “Podcasts” at the top of the application window, and then browse or search for podcasts. Click the name of a podcast to see a list of episodes, and then click the word “Free” next to an episode’s name to download it.

Launch iTunes on your computer when you want to listen to or watch a podcast. Click “Podcasts” under “Library” on the left pane of the iTunes application window to see a list of all the podcasts you’ve downloaded. Click the name of a podcast to select it, and then click the “Play” button. After the first podcast finishes playing, the next one in the list will begin playing.
Skipping Podcasts

When you are listening to or watching podcasts with iTunes, you could notice that the application is skipping podcasts you were intending to hear or see, such as only playing the second and then the fifth podcast out of a list of 10 episodes. Click “Podcasts” under “Library.” Click the “List View” icon, marked with lines, or click the “Album View” icon, marked with lines and small squares. Click the small box next to the name of each podcast to select it under the heading marked with a check mark. ITunes will play all selected podcasts.
