Tulle Party Favors
-
Tulle pouches filled with candy or other party favors are a classic way to use this material. You can make these favors easily by buying pre-cut tulle circles or by cutting 9-inch to 12-inch circles out of tulle fabric. You then gather the tulle around the favor and tie it closed with ribbon or raffia. Adding a baby-themed charm or a decorative flower to the bag closure is a nice touch.
Decorating the Room
-
Draping swag valances of tulle around a room will soften corners. Wrapping Christmas lights in the tulle will add a festive air and hanging baby items, like bootees and pacifiers, here and there will contribute to the baby theme. You can also drape and bunch tulle with Christmas lights on gift or food tables to give the impression of clouds or snow drifts. The lights will draw the eye to items placed on the table.

Tulle Pom-Poms
-
You can make a simple, versatile tulle pom-pom by cutting strips of tulle 9 inches wide and 120 inches long, then hand-stitching down the center of each strip, leaving a long tail of thread. When you gather the material and secure it, the result is a puffy ball of tulle. These puffs can be hung from the ceiling, strung into a garland or placed around the room.
Tulle Topiaries
-
A tulle topiary is a unique way to add some color to the room you're decorating. A tulle topiary starts with a flower pot filled with decorative rocks. You then place a Styrofoam ball on a wooden dowel and cover it with squares of tulle by twisting the tulle and pinning it all over the Styrofoam. When the ball is covered in tulle, you can place the dowel into the flower pot.
