For example, select a bathtub surround that has stairs climbing up to the elevated bathtub for an impressive look. Make sure that the stairs are not steep and are wide enough so that you won't slip walking on them.

Large Ledge

A granite bathtub surround with a large ledge is a good option for someone who enjoys soaking in the bathtub for long periods of time. Choose a surround with a large ledge behind the bathtub or to the side. That way, you can display all of your necessities, such as bath salts, bubble bath, soap and loofahs. You will also have room to place books or magazines that you like reading in the tub.
