Cute Ideas for Using a Pacifier as a Silverware Ring Holder at a Baby Shower
Pacifiers are a seemingly magical baby item. Most babies will stop crying if given a pacifier, but pacifiers always seem to disappear as if by magic. Because of this, new parents can almost never have too many pacifiers. One way to bring pacifiers into a baby shower is to use them for holding silverware and napkins at the event. After the event, give the pacifiers to the new parents to use for their baby later. Does this Spark an idea?

Basic Silverware Holders
-
This holder requires the pacifiers with a ring-shaped handle. Bundle a knife, fork and spoon together with a thin ribbon. Slide the bundle into the hole in the pacifier holder. Turn the pacifier so that the sucker faces up. Make sure the spoon and fork face the same direction as well. Place this silverware bundle by each party guest’s plate.
Napkin Holder
-
The ring-shaped handle pacifiers can also be used as holders for napkins. You can wrap the silverware inside a napkin, or simply roll the napkin into a tube shape. Slide the tube into the pacifier handle and place the bundle beside or on top of each guest’s place setting. You can also stack a bunch of bundles into a basket for guests to get themselves in a less-formal setting.

Place Settings
-
Pacifiers can also be used as place settings. You can use real pacifiers for this, or you can cut out pacifiers from paper. If you use paper pacifiers, write the name of the guests on the paper directly. If you use real pacifiers, write the name of the guests on a small strip of paper. Tape the strip of paper to the backside of the pacifier and place the pacifier in the center of each place setting or directly above the plate.
Holder Embellishment
-
If you have a different kind of silverware holder, you can use pacifiers to embellish the holder. Use small, paper pacifiers to embellish individual silverware holders or napkin rolls. Use real pacifiers to decorate a large silverware holder for a less formal party. For example, if you have a container holding spoons, place a ring of pacifiers around the container as an embellishment. You can also tie pacifiers to silverware holders with ribbons.
