Love Shadowbox

A shadowbox is an appropriate way to display small souvenirs from experiences shared with loved ones. Create a shadow box valentine that features 3-D wooden-block letters to spell "L-O-V-E." Spray paint the block letters black, red or pink. Glue Valentine’s Day themed scrapbook paper to the back of the shadowbox and hot glue the wooden letters on top the scrapbook paper. Add an old wedding or family photo.

Kisses Centerpiece

Use big, wooden block letters that can stand on their own to create a Valentine’s Day centerpiece. The letters K-I-S-S-E-S are sure to summon up smooches for all who view them. Spray paint the letters white and allow the paint to dry. Use a stamp that features lips and press it in pink and red ink. Stamp the lips all over the letters. Set the centerpiece on a table or mantle.

Picture Frame

This Valentine’s Day project serves a double purpose as a gift and a decoration. Use small 3-D block letters to spell out a Valentine’s Day message, such as “Happy Valentine’s Day," “My Love” or “Our 1st Valentine’s Day." Spray paint the letters pink and allow to dry. Coat the letters with a spray adhesive and cover them with pink and red glitter. Hot glue the sparkly message around the border of a picture frame. Insert an appropriate photo and present to your loved one.

Magnetic Messages

This project allows you and your loved one to exchange love notes by spelling out messages on the refrigerator door. Spray paint two sets of small wooden alphabet letters with glossy red paint. Cut small pieces of self-adhesive magnetic tape and stick a piece to the back of each letter. Place all the magnets on the refrigerator and have fun spelling out sweet messages all month long.
