Receeding Hairstyles
Hair loss is cosmetic concern for many men. If you are predisposed to this condition, its arrival is inevitable. However, not all hope is lost. Hair fashions come in many styles, including those suited to receding hair. If you have a receding hairline, knowing how to deal with it can improve your looks and increase your self-confidence. Does this Spark an idea?

Basics
-
Regardless of how you handle your receding hairline, keep your hair fairly short. Although you may be used to having long hair, a large mass of hair contrasted with thinning hair only makes your receding hairline more conspicuous.
Short Styles
-
One option for your receding hairline is the buzz cut. This is a very short style in which you shave your hair as short as possible. This is an effective choice if you wish to pull off a rugged appearance. Jason Statham is a celebrity who uses this look to cover the receding hair around his hairline and crown. If you prefer a slightly longer style, you can try the short Caesar cut. This can not only minimize a receding hairline, but also downplays thinning at the top of your head. For this style, the hairstylist cuts your bangs horizontally and styles them down your forehead. Actor George Clooney has been known to don this style.

Medium Styles
-
A medium-length hair style is ideal if your hairline is just beginning to recede. One option, known as shaggy layers, has been used by notable figures such as Prince William of Britain. For this look, have your hair cut unevenly in layers. When styling your hair, scuffle it around to create a jumbled or disheveled appearance. The uneven distribution will hide your receding hair. If a messy look does not strike you, there is a combed option known as the Roger Sterling, dubbed after the actor of the same name. Have your barber cut the top of your hair short, but maintain its length to the point where you can still comb part of it sideways. Additionally, keep your sideburns short and tight.
Distraction
-
Despite the abundance of styles, you may feel at a loss for which to choose. Additionally, perhaps your hairline has receded to a point where it is not worth styling. Luckily, you have another option where hair is plentiful. Facial hair, when grown properly, can complement your hair and draw attention away from the receding line. Professional hairstylist Jeff Sacino explains that poorly trimmed facial hair is not appropriate. If you decide to grow a mustache and goatee, he recommends they be trimmed frequently and kept at roughly the same length. You also have the option to grow a full beard, but Sacino warns that you must maintain a natural look, using thinning shears to seamlessly blend the beard with your face.
