Pageant Modeling Outfit Ideas
Knowing that tens, hundreds or even thousands of people are scrutinizing every inch of your body, clothes and hair as you stand on a stage is enough to make any pageant contestant nervous. Wearing the perfect outfit for each section of the pageant is vital, and can be the difference between winning and losing. Wear each pageant outfit with confidence and allow your personality to shine through. Does this Spark an idea?

Swimwear
-
The swimsuit section of a pageant is perhaps the most difficult to pull off. Try on many different colors and types of swimsuits before deciding on one. This will help you select an outfit that flatters your body. Your swimsuit must emphasize your best features while disguising your worst. Go for bright, solid colors rather than faded colors, pastels or neutrals as these usually help you to stand out to the judges. Wear shoes that are clear or in a color that matches your skin tone to elongate your legs and keep any accessories simple so as not to draw attention away from your swimsuit.
Talent Wear
-
Choose an appropriate yet stylish outfit to wear for the talent section of the pageant. A suitable, polished outfit that reveals your personality will highlight you and your chosen talent, and help make for a memorable performance. If you are a dancer, choose an outfit that covers your chest, bottom and stomach, and aim to create a smooth, seamless line down your legs by wearing dance tights. Formal dresses are best for vocal soloists, but watch the hem length of your dress, as usually judges are below the stage and may be able to see up your dress if it is too short.

Interview Wear
-
Interview wear must fit perfectly and flatter your body shape, while making you look professional. A simple sleeveless or straight cut dress teamed with a jacket, a trouser suit or a skirt suit are all appropriate outfits to wear for the interview section. Jackets can either be buttoned up or left open to show a stylish blouse underneath. Keep your interview outfit simple, as too many embellishments will distract the judges from your answers. Do not shy away from color; choose a shade that compliments both your hair color and your skin tone.
Evening Gown
-
The evening gown must enhance your appearance as well as reflect your personality and style. Choose a color that complements your complexion and hair. Your gown must be elegant, be a perfect fit and flatter your body shape. Carefully consider the material for your evening gown. Silk material is often the most popular choice as it keeps its shape, drapes well and has sheen. You want to draw focus to the gown, so stay away from distracting accessories and shoes.
