Team Mobiles
-
Design your own Super Bowl-themed hanging mobile decoration with a few simple items and easy steps. Print and cut out team logos, player pictures and other iconic football symbols such as footballs and helmets. Use can get these items off the Internet. Glue the pictures onto team-colored card stock or heavy construction paper and trim around the paper, following its shape, to create a durable backing with a border. Push thin wire lengthwise through a soft, foam football and gather the ends at the top, forming a triangle from which to hang your mobile.
Complete your project by threading varying lengths of invisible fishing line -- with thick knots tied at the end of each piece -- through the picture cutouts and then stitching the thread through the bottom of the foam football. Simply cut the line from the needle and tie it off once you’ve stitched it through the soft football material to keep the hanging pictures in place. You might opt to print out two copies of each picture and glue onto both sides of the card stock to create a decoration that’s viewable from any angle.
Jersey Cutouts
-
Create team jerseys featuring your guests’ names on the backs using poster board, construction paper, markers, alphabet stickers and glue sticks. Cut a large shirt shape from the poster board. Make and add color stripes and player numbers with construction paper and glue sticks. Use alphabet stickers to put your guests’ last names above player numbers for a personalized football-themed decoration. Make sure you use team colors when creating jerseys for a realistic Super Bowl touch. Tape or tack the jerseys onto party room walls when finished. You can make and use small-scale versions of this craft for name tags, place setting tags or raffle tickets.

Football Centerpieces
-
Football centerpieces are a good way to decorate Super Bowl party tables. Purchase and paint over small, inexpensive foam footballs to display team colors, then arrange them on the table. Alternatively, purchase small, plastic football helmets and paint them in team colors. Turn them upside down and fill them with candies, sauces, dips, mints, toothpicks, seasonings or other food items and garnishes. Place them around the food table.
Team Flag Banners
-
No Super Bowl get-together would be complete without flag banners to hang across a party room wall or above a food table. The team colors associated with the Super Bowl are good options. Cut large triangles from construction paper, using the colors of the two Super Bowl teams Create a flag banner for each team -- or for the one you’re rooting for -- by fastening the triangles together with paper fasteners. Make sure you alternate colors and keep triangles pointed down for a true flag banner effect. Line the triangles up, side by side, slightly overlapping them at the edges, then fasten them together where the corners meet. Decorate flag banners with player names or team logos.
