Gifts For Wakeboarders
To know a wakeboarder is to know obsession. Wakeboarding involves riding a thin buoyant board while being pulled behind a boat. No matter the age or skill level of the boarder, they can all agree that wakeboarding is addictive. Feed their addiction with wakeboarding style gifts, suitable for both boys and girls.

Rash Guard or Riding Shirt
-
Long hours in the water and constant movement in a life vest can cause chafing in a matter of days. A rash guard or riding shirt is made for thin, quick drying fabric that protects the chest from irritation. Look for a shirt with built in UV protection and wide sleeves or sleeveless for comfortable movement.
Wakeboarding Life Vest
-
Take protection to the next level with an upgraded life vest. If the wakeboarder only rides as a hobby, look for a USCGA approved life vest with padding that keeps the rider on their back in the case of an emergency. If the rider is riding in competitions, look for a freeride or competition vest; they are typically lighter and thinner than traditional vests. Check also for neoprene or nylon fabric to reduce water absorption.

Wakeboarding DVDs
-
For the completely obsessed boarder, buy them a couple wakeboarding DVDs. They can get tips on style and technique from pros and feed their addiction during colder months. Look for videos set to music, interviews with professional boarders or shots of competitions.
Wakeskate
-
For a fun, challenging change of pace, purchase a wakeskate. Similar to wakeboarding, wakeskating is done behind a boat but without straps to keep the rider to the board. Wakeskates are smaller than traditional wakeboards, closer in size to skateboards. Wakeskaters also use a strong grip shoe to help stay on the board. Wakeskating has gotten so popular with wakeboarders, it now has it's own competition on the Pro Wakeboard Tour.
