A Graduation Memory Craft
Graduates carry with them physical memories of their graduation ceremony. These memories include photos, cards, tassels, diplomas, achievement awards and sashes. Preserving these memorabilia pieces may be important to the graduate who possesses them, and graduation memory crafts provide a personalized way to do just this. These crafts also make wonderful graduation gifts.

Graduation Shadow Box
-
Shadow boxes are similar in shape and size to picture frames, except that they are anywhere from 1 inch to several inches deep. To create a graduation shadow box, remove the front piece of the box in order to access the inside. Arrange any graduation objects of your choice, including your tassel, graduation cap, diploma and photos, inside the box. Use an adhesive of your choice to secure the object in place. Use a temporary adhesive, such as tape, for objects that you may want to remove later.
Tassel Christmas Ornament
-
Your graduation tassel can be used for creating a personalized Christmas ornament. To create this craft project you will need a 3-inch craft ball, round doily that fits around the ball, 1/4-inch ribbon and your tassel. Begin by wrapping the doily tightly around the craft ball, gathering any excess at the bottom of the ball and securing with ribbon. Cut strips of ribbon to fit from the top of the craft ball to the bottom. Glue one end of a strip of ribbon to the top of the ball and the other end to the bottom of the ball, underneath the gathered end of the doily. Repeat this with the other ribbon strands, spacing the ribbon evenly around the ball. Use another ribbon strand to create a hanger by attaching the two ribbon ends together with a pin at the top of the ball. Glue the tassel to the gathered portion of the doily.

Graduation Picture Frame
-
To create a graduation picture frame, paint a wooden frame blue and allow to dry. Scrunch up a paper towel and dip into white paint. Blot the paper towel over the entire frame to give the frame a "sponge" look. Let dry. Glue graduation embellishments, such as miniature graduation caps and diplomas, to the wooden portion of the frame. Glue small numbers to the bottom of the frame, indicating the year you graduated. Insert a photo from your graduation ceremony.
Graduation Cap Card Holder
-
This graduation cap card holder is made using a 10-inch hat box. Paint the hat box black and allow to dry. You may have to apply more than one coat of paint. Cut a 12-inch-by-12-inch square from a sheet of black foam board. Use hot glue to glue the foam board to the top of the hat box lid. Hot glue your graduation tassel to the hat so that it dangles from one side of the card box.
