First and foremost, a good picture for your YouTube background accurately reflects the image you're trying to portray. That can be different for every type of business, organization or individual using the YouTube platform. Spend some time thinking about the feeling you want people to get when they visit your channel. Will it be a bright, happy feeling, an inspirational feeling, or something dark and dangerous? As you explore the image you want to portray, write down a few words to describe the content and feeling of your channel. Also write down a few words that you don't want to describe your channel. If you don't have access to high-quality photos or graphic images, one option is to borrow a theme from someone else.
