Raptor Battery Options
The Yamaha Raptor is an all-terrain vehicle, also known as an ATV. ATVs are used for a variety of recreational activities, from riding off-road to competing in races and other events. The size and use of the ATV will determine the kind of battery it takes. If you select the wrong battery for your ATV, it may overheat and become damaged.

ATV Sizes
-
ATVs come in different model sizes based on the rider and what it will be used for. Engines are measured in cubic centimeters (cc). Children ages 8 to 12 require a 70 cc engine, riders ages 12 to 16 require a 70-90 cc engine, and riders 16 and older will require a 90 cc engine. There are also larger engine sizes, such as the Raptor 700 R, which has a 686 cc engine. These large engines are often used for racing and competition.
ATV Voltage
-
The ATV voltage is set by the manufacturer when it is produced. This determines how much power can run through your ATV at any given time. The voltage of your battery must be a fit for the voltage your ATV uses, otherwise your ATV can become damaged.
