Personalized
-
Regular painbrushes just look plain; most have wooden or plastic handles in one color. If you are a regular painter, play up the look of your favorite paintbrush to customize it to fit your personal style. Use craft glue or super glue, and add colored rhinestones to the handle of your brush. Use acrylic paints to decorate the handle of your brush with designs such as animal prints, dots or swirls. Allow it to dry completely before using.
Paintbrush Ornaments
-
Create your own Santa paintbrush ornaments to add a different touch to your Christmas decor. Paint the handles of your paintbrushes red, and allow them to dry. Use a small brush or cotton swab to draw a plaid or dotted design on the handles. Dip the bristles in white paint, and let them dry completely. The bristles will serve as Santa's beard. Paint the metal section of the brush a flesh color to make a face. Draw eyes on with colored permanent markers. Add a mustache and hair by gluing on cotton.

Handmade Paintbrush
-
Create your own homemade paintbrush using twigs or short sticks gathered from outside. Tie sections of weeds, leaves or tall grass pieces to the twigs with string. Use your nature-inspired paintbrush to create interesting designs you won't get with a regular paintbrush.
Brush Bunnies
-
Design your own paintbrush bunnies using paintbrushes and craft items such as pom-poms and googly eyes. Paint the handle of your brush with pastel-colored craft paint. The end of the brush will become the bunny's ears. Color the inside of the ears a different color from that of your bunny. Separate the ears from the rest of the handle with a black line. Glue on some googly eyes. Use pom-poms to make a nose and pipe cleaners for whiskers. Cut out a colored piece of felt, and glue it around the bristles to create an outfit for your bunny.
