Butterfly Orange Wedding Ideas
Though there are many varieties of butterflies that are orange, the most commonly recognized variety is the Monarch. Brides with an orange wedding theme may choose to incorporate the Monarch or another type of orange butterfly into their wedding scheme by adding the image to invitations, decorations, the cake and favors.

The invitation is the guests' first indication of the type of wedding you're planning. Incorporate a butterfly image into your wedding invitations by using orange cardstock for the background of your invitation and cutting a piece of white paper in the shape of a butterfly to glue on top. Print the wedding invitation details on a clear label and put it on top of the white butterfly. Or simply print a picture of an orange butterfly onto a piece of thick paper that also includes all the wedding details.

You can decorate an orange-themed bridal bouquet with decorative rhinestone butterflies on sticks, bought from a floral and bridal supply store. You can also add decorative feather or rhinestone butterflies to the bride and bridesmaids' hair. Decorate a wedding reception by suspending orange feather or nylon butterflies from the ceiling, tucking them into floral displays and scattering orange butterfly confetti onto food tables. A bride can also have a large glass or wire screen container to house real butterflies; this can be a lovely, large centerpiece.

The wedding cake is one of the main focal points of the reception, so it's important to incorporate the orange butterfly theme into the wedding cake decoration. This can be done by adding an orange floral wedding topper and rhinestone butterflies to the top of the cake. Another way to decorate a wedding cake in a butterfly theme is to have the cake decorator add sugar flowers and butterflies to each tier of a wedding cake.

Butterfly themed favors include orange butterfly shaped soap, wrapped in cellophane and tied with an orange ribbon. Or simply fill a small box with truffles and seal the box with an orange butterfly sticker. Give guests a packet of wildflowers to plant in their own garden; they'll be able to attract butterflies to their own yards in the spring and will remember you and your butterfly themed wedding.
