Ideas for Thank You Sentiments
Saying thank you to someone for his contribution or act does not always require a formal message or presentation. Many times a recipient expression of gratitude may occur in the form of a gift, a return act, a simple message or an acknowledgement of the beneficial act. Whichever the case, the difference between a sincere thank you and one without class remains the use of tact. The recipient of the benefit needs to anticipate the environment the two people interact in as well as the sensitivities of the provider. Doing so makes the sentiment more meaningful when received.

Flowers
-
A bouquet of flowers works well for both informal and formal thanks. The idea of receiving a well-built bouquet of living blooms and accessories sprigs tends to brighten the day of most people, regardless of gender. When using flowers as a gift, just remember to choose the right ones for the time of year and sentiment. Seasonal bouquets work great for those not keen on what different flowers mean. Whatever you do, don’t send bouquet of roses until you are romantically involved with the person you are thanking.
A Simple Note
-
Many times expressing a “thank you” can be performed by just leaving a simple, unexpected note for the person who provided the benefit to you. Not only does this acknowledge the act and its benefit to you, it also keeps the matter private between you and the person at a personal level. This works well in office settings where too much of a presentation can immediately attract everybody's attention in the cubicle farm.

A Return Gesture
-
For some, returning a benefit with a similar act tends to be the only way to truly express gratitude. This is not a bad thing; one just needs to remember to time the act of the return benefit closely to the original act so that the provider doesn’t feel forgotten. Additionally, the original recipient should try to tailor the return benefit to what the provider actually needs help with. Just performing any old act of return gratitude can become awkward and ill-suited as it may not be necessary at the time.
A Card
-
If you can’t think of an immediate or unique way to say “thank you” to someone, a pre-written card from a store tends to be a situation-saver. There are hundreds of messages to choose from, some funny and others sincere. Just pick a card suitable for the provider of the benefit and give it to the person soon after receiving the beneficial act from him. This creates the link between your gratitude at the benefit received.
