Cute Winter Engagement Picture Ideas
Wedding planning is so much more than dressing up and having cake. Wedding planners coordinate multiple wedding events including your engagement photos. No longer is the engagement photo just a picture of the two of you against a white background. These days, your engagement photos are often works of art that show emotion and capture semi-private moments between the two of you. Winter engagement photos take advantage of picturesque snowy landscapes and cozy moments by the fire.

Walk in the Park
-
Put on your warmest warm weather clothes and head to the park after a fresh snowfall. Have your photographer take natural photos of the two of you walking through the park. Walk slightly ahead of the photographer holding hands through the park while you chat with one another about your day, your upcoming wedding or anything else you feel like talking about. Let the photographer catch you laughing, getting closer to one another and kissing in the snow. She can shoot from behind you and in front of you to capture a cold, winter moment perfect for your engagement photos.
Romantic Woods
-
Find a wooded area in your city or town and ask your photographer to meet you there. Have her stand in the woods and take photos of the two of you sitting in the snow or playing around in the trees and snow. Have the photographer stand behind the trees and capture candid shots of you as you steal a kiss or cuddle in the cold weather.

Light a Fire
-
Winter weather is often less than a winter wonderland when the snow starts to melt or when the temperatures dip well below a number comfortable to you. When this happens you can take your engagement photo session indoors. Light a fire in your fireplace. Move the furniture out of the room and place a blanket on the floor with two wine glasses and a bottle of your favorite vino – you don’t have to drink any but it is always an option. Take photos laughing and interacting in front of the fire. Have the photographer capture you from behind while you lean into one another holding your wine glasses and looking into the fire.
Room with a View
-
Call the local hotel with the best view of the snowy mountains, snow covered park or ice covered lake and ask whether or not it is okay to bring in a photographer for photos on a cold winter day. Chances are good that the hotel will have no problem allowing you to use the lobby or bar with the big picture window for a photo session. Because of this your photographer can capture you against the picture window watching the snow fall or sipping hot chocolate from over-sized mugs on the deck. Pose on the deck with the courtyard or lake or mountains as your background; trust your photographer enough to allow him to direct you in your poses.
