Cute Ideas for Basketball Homecoming Shirts
Whether you're in high school or college, basketball homecoming shirts get students and fans in the mood to cheer on your team before the big game. When designing the shirts, think of the mascot, team slogan, colors and any other items commonly associated with your school team. Once your design is printed on your shirts, pass the shirts out among fans to spread spirit or sell them to raise funds for your school.

Slogan Shirts
-
Create a team slogan and place it on the shirts. When creating the slogan, find something commonly associated with your team. For example, if you're team is named the "Bulldogs," a cute slogan is "After our bark, you won't want to see our bite!" Another slogan, for a team named the "Tornadoes" might be "We're going to blow you right out of town!"
Letter Shirts
-
If you have a finite number of people who are viewing the game together, then create shirts with one letter on each and spell out a word. For example, if you're team is named the "Huskies," create a shirt for each letter in the word and hand them out to your friends before the game. Sit in order so the word is spelled properly. Then when you stand, everyone else will see the word "Huskies." For a variation, use phrases such as "Go Huskies" or "Huskies Rule."

Quotes
-
Find quotations about basketball you find cute and create a shirt with the quote written on it. For example, Wilt Chamberlain was once quoted as saying, "Nobody Roots for Goliath." Or, Knute Rockne once exclaimed, "Boards, boards, boards!" Then, add your team mascot and name to the shirt. As a variation, try inspirational quotes. For example, Tim Duncan once said, "Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best."
Love and Heart Shirts
-
Create shirts with the word "love" or use the picture of a heart in a slogan or phrase. For example, "I love Chester basketball!" Or, "Chester basketball makes my heart pound!" with the image of a heart replacing the actual word. As a variation, insert a player's name or number into the phrase. For example, "I Love Kobe" or "I Love No. 8."
Mascot Shirts
-
Often the mascot of a school team has appeal and therefore is cute in its own right. If your school mascot is a tiger, cougar, ram or husky, create a shirt dedicated to the mascot. If the mascot has a hard edge, ask a gifted artist among your classmates to draw a gentler, sweeter version of the mascot. Then use that drawing as the basis of the image on the homecoming shirt.
