Museums

The Doll and Miniature Museum of High Point is at 101 West Green Drive. The museum is open every day except Monday. Adult tickets cost $5.00 and children over five are $2.50, under five are free. The museum has almost 3,000 dolls from throughout history.
High Point Museum is at 1859 East Lexington Avenue. It is a free museum that chronicles the history of the High Point area. Tours and hands-on exhibits are offered at the museum.
The John Haley House is adjacent to the High Point Museum and is the oldest house in High Point, built in 1786. The Hoggatt House is also nearby and is a log home that was built in 1801.
Playgrounds

Gibson Park is at 5217 West Wendover Avenue in High Point. It is open every day except Monday. The hours for each season are posted at the gate of the park. It has hiking trails, picnic shelters, a playground, and a cabin that was built around 1800.
City Lake Park is nearby at 602 West Main Street in Jamestown. This large park has a train, swimming pool with waterslide, carousel, two playgrounds, a miniature golf course, and several picnic shelters. The playgrounds are free but there is a cost for other activities in the park.

Nature

The All-A-Flutter Butterfly Farm is at 7850 B Clinard Farms Road. Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. is family day. They only take groups of 20 or more during the week. The cost is $6 for adults and $5 for children. There is a presentation to learn about butterflies and a tour of the flight house that has Monarch butterflies. Sugar pads are given to visitors so they can feed the butterflies.
Amusement Park

The nearest amusement park is Celebration Station at 4315 Big Tree Way in Greensboro. There are over 100 games in the video game room, batting cages, bumper boats, go carts, and miniature golf. Prices for each activity vary.
