What Are Global Posts on Facebook?
Facebook automatically creates "community pages" when users enter their interests, political beliefs, religions and other data into their personal profiles. When users mention those topics in status updates, those updates appear on the corresponding community page. When you view that page, you see your friends' status updates mentioning the topic. By clicking the "Related Posts" tab, you see "Global Posts," which come from everyone on Facebook.

Viewing Global Posts
-
You can view the global posts for any Facebook community page by visiting that page. Type a generic topic into the search bar at the top of Facebook, and click "See More Results" in the drop-down menu that appears. Click the "Pages" tab on the left side of the screen to narrow the results, and then click the community page you think most likely represents that topic. Click the "Related Posts" tab on the left side of the screen to view global posts for the topic.
Which Posts Register as Global
-
When viewing the global posts for a community page, you can only see posts that are visible to you. These may include posts from your friends and friends of friends, as well as posts set as "Public" by anyone on Facebook. Private or restricted posts are not included in global posts.

Including Your Posts in Global Posts
-
If you want your posts to be included in search results so that they appear in the global posts area of a Facebook community page, you must set the post to "Public." To do so, click the drop-down menu under the "What's on Your Mind?" box and select "Public." If your update happens to include a keyword that is the same as the name of any community page, the update may appear in its global posts section.
Benefit of Global Posts
-
Global posts help people find out what people are talking about with regard to a given topic, as well as connect with people who are talking about the same subjects. Your friends can also click your interests on your profile to see their corresponding community pages and learn more about you by reading the global posts.
