A holiday themed napkin ring. Beaded napkin rings can be created with a wire or ribbon base. For a wire base, cut lengths of wire and form them into loops. Thread colored beads onto the wire and then twist the ends of the wire so the beads stay in place and the ends are attached. For a ribbon base, loop the ribbon around a rolled napkin, as if you were tying a bow. Instead, create a lariat by threading both ribbon ends through beads. Tie the ribbon ends or curl them with scissors so the beads stay in place.

For one-time use, purchase real flowers. Make sure they are a hearty variety that won't wilt, like sunflowers or lavender. If you want to create permanent napkin rings, purchase silk flowers. Cut off the flower heads, leaving a bit of stem attached. Tie a loop of ribbon to the stem of the flower. For permanent rings, hot glue the ribbon onto the silk flower.
Rustic Napkin RIngs
-
Twine has adds a rustic touch to a harvest table. For a rustic table setting, look in your local hardware store for a set of metal rings. Think creatively and you'll see that inexpensive items like key rings, washers or large chain links could work for napkin rings. You might even be able to find some of these around the house. Take raffia or twine and wrap it around the metal rings. Cover the entire ring or leave some of the metal exposed. When you've wrapped the twine all the way around, tie a bow where the loose ends meet.
