The Average Salary of an Indexer
Indexers work in various capacities, mostly in healthcare, library and educational environments. Essentially acting as archivists, indexers organize collections of data -- including historical archives and other records -- into easy-to-navigate indexes for public and professional access. Because indexers work in numerous fields, it is difficult to come up with an “average” salary. However, earnings examples help paint a picture of the sort of earnings professional indexers can expect.
