Rock Star Crafts
Rock star themed crafts are fun for parents and kids to make together. Kids enjoy pretending to be a rock star. Help them create special items to complete the look of a rock star. Make rock star craft items to use as party favors for an event for a memorable look.

Sparkly Microphone

Dress up a plain novelty microphone with rhinestones. Use super glue or craft glue and a toothpick to dab dots of glue on the back of colored rhinestones and glue them to the outside of the microphone. Add a ring of feathers by cutting a section of feather boa and using hot glue to secure it around the top of the microphone. Let your child help decorate his own microphone to fit his style, or use the decorated microphone as a desk accessory.
Collages

Make collages of your favorite bands and rock stars by cutting out pictures from magazines. Use a craft sealer to glue and seal your works of art. Design a large collage to put in a poster frame and hang on your wall. Make small decorative collage pieces to decorate your home with. Use wood glue to apply your picture clippings to the wooden blocks. Allow the glue to dry completely, then cover the block with a craft sealer to seal the pictures around the block. This will protect the pictures from getting wet or dirty.

Decorate a white T-shirt or white canvas tennis shoes with fabric markers or paint. Peace signs, lightening bolts or stars are often used for rock star designs. Use vibrant colors that grab attention. Mix in glitter with the paint to add sparkle to your clothes and shoes. Create a customized rock star look all your own. Tie dye is also an option for decorating your clothing or a handkerchief. Tie dye kits are sold in most craft stores. Follow the directions on the package for best results.
Scrapbooking

Gather scrapbook paper in rock and roll or rock star themes to create a special photo album or scrapbook for your memorable pictures. You can even add in concert pictures and tickets you have attended. Design a rock star themed notebook by cutting scrapbook sheets to fit over your notebook and using a glue stick to glue it on. Add rock star type embellishments and stickers on your album for added accent.
