Bridal Pillow Craft
A bridal pillow, also known as a ring bearer pillow, is a decorative pillow used to display the rings of the bride and groom during a wedding ceremony. Many brides choose to make their own bridal pillows. When a bride does this, she creates a unique craft that she can keep to remind her of her wedding day.

Purpose
-
Many weddings have ring bearers. A ring bearer is a young boy, often a young relative of the bride and groom. Traditionally, the best man at a wedding was the ring bearer, but many couples elected to give the job to a younger male relative. Many times, a couple places fake rings on the pillow so the ring bearer does not lose the real ones.
Supplies
-
Choose a fabric for the pillow and measure 9 square inches. Most bridal pillows are made from either silk or satin, and many are made from a piece of fabric from the bride’s gown. To make the pillow, you will need thread, lace, ribbons, embellishments, fiber filling, glue, a ring box, scissors and cloth marker.

Directions
-
Measure two 9-inch-by-9-inch squares of fabric on its wrong side, a 7-inch-by-7-inch square of lace and four 7-inch pieces of white ribbon. Sew the lace onto the right side of one piece of fabric. Around the edges of the lace, sew or glue the pieces of ribbon. Apply embellishments to the four corners of the lace, if desired. Place the other 9-inch square of fabric up to this piece of fabric with their right sides touching. Sew around the entire thing, leaving only one side open to allow room for stuffing. Before stuffing, turn the pillow right side out. Insert the stuffing and then carefully finish the stitching. Take the ring box and glue it onto the center of the pillow.
Considerations
-
You can either hand sew this pillow or use a sewing machine. Complete the pillow by decorating however you would like. You can attach small flowers, sequins or other types of decorations to suit your needs.
