Balloon Ghosts

Inflate a bunch of white helium balloons and let kids decorate them with spooky faces. Black permanent marker can be used to draw ghost eyes and wide, scary mouths on to the balloons. Alternately, construction paper can be used to make faces and taped on to the balloons. Get creative with orange balloons or black balloons for pumpkins, bats or witches. The ghosts will look festive floating around the classroom, or they can be tied to chairs or desks.
Plate Pumpkins

Let kids paint paper plates with orange, washable craft paint. Paint the bottom of each plate. Cut the pumpkin's facial features out of yellow or black construction paper or craft foam. These shapes can be glued to the plate to form a jack-'o-lantern. Use green paper or foam to make leaves and glue those to the top of the pumpkin plate. These pumpkins can be taped along a wall or hanging off of desks for cute decorations.

Feathery Bats

Use pieces of a black feather boa to make cute, fuzzy bat decorations. Use a template to cut bat wing shapes out of construction paper or card stock. Cut 8-inch pieces of the boa and wrap each piece around a set of bat wings. Use tape to secure the bat. Add some google eyes or construction paper eyes secured with tape, and hang the bats with clear string or fishing line to look like they are flying.
Lollipop Ghosts

A classic Halloween craft that never goes out of style, lollipop ghosts are simple to make and can be stuck in pencil jars or taped around the room. Use white tissue or tissue paper and wrap it around the lollipop, with the rest of the tissue hanging down. Secure the tissue with a rubber band, and use a marker to draw features on the ghost.
Witch Hats

Make black witch hat decorations using black construction paper or card stock. Cut a circle out of card stock for the hat brim, then make a cone shape with a piece of black paper. Tape the cone together and secure it to the circle brim to look like a witch hat. These can be decorated with glitter glue, sequins, stickers or construction paper, and tape.
