Seashore Crafts
Making crafts out of objects you find at the beach is a creative way to remember your vacation at the seashore. You can make a variety of fun, simple crafts out of seashells, pieces of driftwood and collected sand that you can save as a memento, or give to a friend or family member as a gift. If you cannot find seashells and similar items, you can purchase them at a beach shop to bring home.

Seashore Frame
-
Purchase a plain frame at a craft store, such as one made of thin wood or foam. Use craft glue, or hot glue, to adhere a variety of seashore-themed decorations to the frame, such as seashells, beach glass, small pieces of driftwood and sand. If desired, paint the frame a color reminiscent of the sea prior to decorating it, such as blue. Give your seashore frame as a gift, or place a photograph from your beach vacation inside.
Seashore Jar
-
Recreate the seashore in a small, glass jar. Wash the jar thoroughly to remove any dirt and debris before filling it with enough sand to cover the bottom when the jar lies on its side. Insert a variety of items into the jar, such as small seashells, chunks of driftwood, beach glass and small stones. Use hot glue to attach a large seashell to the lid of the jar. Allow the lid to dry fully before using it to seal your seashore jar, which makes a summery decoration.

Seashore Bucket
-
Customizing your own seashore bucket is both a fun and functional craft. Purchase a plain beach pail and a variety of acrylic paints in your preferred colors. Lay down newspaper to protect your workspace and decorate the bucket; for example, paint the background a color such as blue for the sea, or beige for the sand. Allow the background layer to dry before adding details such as seashells, fish, beach toys and people. Use your seashore bucket on your next trip to the beach.
Cockleshell Creatures
-
Turn ordinary cockleshells into exciting creatures. Clean two cockleshells for each creature you wish to fashion and, for each creature, select two shells similar in size and shape. To craft a cockleshell creature, turn one shell upside down and glue two white beads, or eyes, to the opposite edge of the hinge. Glue the second shell in place on top of the first, and allow it to dry fully. Use a black marker to draw pupils on the creature's bead eyes and, if desired, glue your cockleshell craft on top of a piece of driftwood.
