MySpace & Cyber-bullying
MySpace is supposed to be a place to connect and share with your friends, but unfortunately some bad apples try to ruin the experience for other people. If you are being bullied on MySpace, know that the site does not condone such behavior and wants you to report it. MySpace promises to evaluate each report of bullying within 48 hours.

Site Policy
-
MySpace has a zero tolerance policy for bullying on the social networking site. According to MySpace, bullying might include hate speech and harassment directed at you via comments on your own page or that of another person. Never let bullying go without taking action, or the behavior may escalate. MySpace is willing to partner with any user who is the victim of cyber-bullying to put an end to the issue.
Save Documents
-
Always save the material that demonstrates bullying behavior. The best way to save the material is to take a screenshot of the post or message, so that it can be uploaded to a report later. When filing a report about the problem to MySpace, your saved posts, instant messages and emails will serve as proof that you are or were being cyber-bullied by another MySpace user. MySpace can use the material when a staff member confronts the bully to make her stop bothering you on the site.

File a Report
-
The best way to handle a cyber-bully is to file a report with MySpace. Scroll to the very bottom of any screen on the site and click on the "Help and FAQs" link in the "Help" section. Click "Contact MySpace" in the right column of the "Help" screen and fill out the provided form. Be sure to include a description of exactly what type of bullying you experienced, and provide the MySpace ID of both you and the alleged bully – an ID is located at the very end of someone's MySpace page URL. Use the "Attach File" link to send a copy of the posts and messages you saved.
Privacy
-
If a bully continues to bother you on MySpace, remove her from your friend list so that she is no longer able to access your page and leave you mean comments. Hover your mouse over the "MyStuff" link at the top of your screen and click "Privacy Settings." Choose "My Friends Only" so that the bully cannot see any part of your profile, except for your profile picture and name.
