50th Anniversary Embroidery Crafts
Embroidery is the delicate handicraft of decorating a material--usually fabric--with needle and thread. Sometimes, embroidery incorporates beads, sequins or other decorative pieces for added embellishment. Embroidery provides a method for personalizing or monogramming items. For a special occasion, such as a 50th anniversary, an embroidered gift is ideal.

Embroider a throw or decorative pillow to present to the anniversary couple. Use gold thread, because gold is the color traditionally associated with the 50th anniversary. For a gift that is both decorative and useful, embroider a set of his and hers towels for the anniversary couple. Embroider cloth napkins with the couple's last name or initials. Ideally, prepare six to eight napkins so that they can be used by the couple when hosting dinners and formal occasions. Use gold thread on ivory, cream or white cloth napkins. These neutral colors will correspond well with different place settings.
