Window shield mounts are also called windshield mounts. This means, any structure or frame used to mount an object on the windshield of a vehicle. While most of these mounts are detachable and can be moved around on the windshield or even between vehicles, some mounts are permanently affixed during the manufacture of the vehicle itself. A window shield mount, or windshield mount, is simply can take one of a couple of guises depending on which direction the thing being mounted is required to point. If the item to be mounted is required to face outwards, the mount will often take the form of a frame that sticks onto the glass of the windshield, holding the item so it is flush to the glass. If the item is designed to point inwards, the mount will often take the form of an arm, one end of which sticks onto the glass and the other end can be posed to allow the object to point back into the car.
