A Super Bowl lunch can be a fun fellowship activity at your church. Table Decorations
-
A green tablecloth on the food and beverage table can be decorated to look like a football field. Start with a green tablecloth. Use white tape to mark out yard lines and end zones. A football-shaped cake can do double duty as a great focal point for the center of the table as well as a tasty dessert. Remember to include the colors of both teams on the table. The color scheme can be carried out into plates, cups and napkins.
Indoor Decorations
-
Streamers in the team colors can be twisted together and hung from the ceilings. Attach pennants or banners from each team to the walls to add a festive touch. Balloons in team colors can adorn tables and chairs. Hang paper footballs on doors and windows. Large drawings of end zones can be placed on opposite sides of the room.

Outdoor Decorations
-
Decorating the outside of the church is a great way to let the community see that a fun event is taking place. A large banner can be made using an old bed sheet decorated with fabric paint. Balloons in the team colors or football-shaped balloons can also add a festive touch to the outside of the church. Rent your own helium tank and blow the balloons up yourself to save money.
Decoration from Recycled Materials
-
Using recycled materials is an eco-friendly way to create decorations for your party. You can make pompoms out of old plastic shopping bags by cutting the handles off, cutting the bag in half, cutting it into strips then tying the strips and fluffing the ends to create a pompom. The pompoms can be uses as decorations or even party favors. You can also recycle decorations, such as streamers, from previous parties.
