Problems With "Dead Rising 2: Father of the Year"
In "Dead Rising 2," your character, Chuck, hides his daughter, Katey, in a maintenance room after zombies take over the local mall. As you explore the mall and look for survivors, you find toys and other objects that would make excellent presents for Katey. If you give Katey all 11 presents, you unlock the "Father of the Year" Achievement. Most presents are easy to find, but you may have problems locating others. This is because some presents only appear in the mall on certain days.

Royal Flush Plaza Presents

You can find most presents for Katey in the Royal Flush Plaza, the shopping mall you first access when the game begins. Walk southeast from the safe house to get to the Stylin' Toddlers store, marked as R111 on your map. Pick up the Beach Ball and Giant Stuffed Elephant. Go upstairs and walk southwest to Children's Castle, marked as R209 on the map. Put down the Giant Stuffed Elephant. Grab the Stick Pony and Bag of Marbles. Pick up the Giant Stuffed Elephant and return to Katey with the gifts.
Return to Children's Castle and take the Giant Stuffed Bull. Give it to Katey, since you can only carry one large stuffed animal at a time. Get the Giant Stuffed Donkey in the Small Fry Duds store, marked as R210, and the Robot Bear in Astonishing Illusions, marked as R118.
Food Court Present

Head east from the Royal Flush Plaza to reach the Food Court. Enter Lombardi's restaurant, marked as F101, in the southwestern corner of the Food Court. Take the Giant Stuffed Rabbit and drop it off in the safe house for Katey. You can also get a Giant Stuffed Rabbit in Palisades Mall. To do so, go to the Chocolate Confession or Kid's Choice Clothing stores.

Yucatan Casino Present

When you enter the Yucatan Casino on your first day in the mall, a tiger tamer and his pet confront you. If you enter on any other day, the tiger and tamer will not be there. This means you cannot earn the "Father of the Year" Achievement if you don't come to the casino on the first day.
The tamer sends the tiger to attack you. Kill the tamer in any way possible, and the tiger, Snowflake, rampages around the casino. Go inside Snowflake's cage and pick up the three steaks. Toss the steak on the ground. When Snowflake charges your way, she eats the steak., Snowflake becomes your new pet after she eats three steaks. Snowflake is a helpful ally in the fight against the zombies, but Chuck also thinks the tiger makes an ideal gift for Katey. Take Snowflake back to the safe house to make Katey very happy.
Palisades Mall Presents

Wait for the "Art Appreciation" mission to activate. Head to the Palisades Mall. Enter the Kid's Choice Clothing shop, marked as P209, in the northeastern corner of the top floor. Take the Water Gun. Walk next door to enter the Cleroux Collection art gallery. Talk to the crying man in the back of the gallery. Buy the Funny Painting from him. You can use the Funny Paining as a weapon, but if you do, you cannot give it to Katey. The man also joins you as a survivor. Take the man, the Funny Painting and the Water Gun back to the safe house. If you collected all the presents, "Father of the Year" unlocks.
