The Netgear FVS318G is a network router from United States-based computer networking equipment manufacturer Netgear. Belonging to the ProSafe brand of Netgear products, the FVS381G is notable for providing five virtual private network (VPN) tunnels to remote users for secure access. In addition to the VPN tunnels, the Netgear ProSafe FVS318G offers functions such as denial-of-service (DoS) protection to prevent unavailability to intended users, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) support for automatic configuration of computers for interaction and Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) to keep track of the state of computer network connections.
