What Are the Powers of the Different Angry Birds?
"Angry Birds" is a video game that focuses on a collection of different birds -- grouped by distinct color -- who engage in battle against pigs who have stolen their eggs. The birds use a slingshot to project themselves at the pigs, who have constructed barriers made of glass, metal and wood around themselves. Knowing the powers of each angry bird will help you defeat the egg-stealing pigs.

Red and Blue Birds

The red birds are the most straightforward attacking birds, flying at their targets at any angle you choose. These strong birds simply knock over or destroy whatever they run into. The blue birds have the ability to split into three little birds once airborne. Simply tap the screen while a blue bird is in flight, and it will divide into three, allowing you to cause three times the damage against your enemies. If you do not tap the screen, the blue bird will not divide, but it can still cause damage.
Yellow Birds

Whereas the other birds have a round or oval shape, yellow birds are more triangular. A yellow bird flies at a target like a red bird does. However, like a blue bird, it releases a power if you tap the screen while it is in flight. Tap the screen midflight, and a yellow bird will speed up. Once it starts to speed up, its directional path cannot be altered, but it will cause more damage due to the velocity at which it travels.

Black Birds

Black birds look and act like little black bombs. You can use black birds in two different ways: The first is to simply let a black bird fly. Once it runs into a target, it will start to turn red and detonate shortly after, causing damage to whatever is around it. Or you can tap the screen while a black bird is in flight. The Black Bird will explode immediately, also causing damage to whatever is around it.
White Birds

White birds are shaped like little eggs and have the ability to drop little egg bombs on their targets from above. Once a white bird is in flight, simply tap the screen, and it will release an egg bomb. This egg bomb is of great use against certain enemies, including the pigs who wear little helmets.
Levels

At the start of each level, you will be assigned a collection of birds to use. Depending on the level, these birds may be all the same type -- like all red birds -- or a mixed collection of different types -- such as red and yellow birds.
