Network Connection

Hulu Plus is an application that requires a broadband network connection to stream video titles. Some of the titles are in DVD-quality formats, while others are in HD-quality formats, so a fast and efficient broadband network connection is required to stream titles. Before running the application, make sure your Samsung Blu-ray player is connected to the Internet. Connecting a player to the Internet varies with different Samsung Blu-ray players, so refer to your device's manual for the proper wired or wireless setup instructions to connect and test the network connection.

Activating Your Samsung Blu-ray Player

Press the "Internet@TV" button on your remote. If you select "Content View" and select "Internet TV" you will see the Samsung Apps section. From there, you can search for and download the Hulu Plus application. After downloading the application, you must activate your player to stream movies and TV shows. If you use a browser on your computer to navigate to the Hulu activation page, you will be required to sign in to your account (see Resources). From there, you must enter the device activation code displayed on your TV screen to activate your Blu-ray player. When the activation completes, your Samsung Blu-ray player automatically logs in to your Hulu Plus account. You can also activate your player directly from the Hulu Plus application on your Blu-ray player. If you select the "Log in to Hulu Plus" option and the "Activate This Device" page when you launch the application, you can sign in to your account and activate your Blu-ray player.

Troubleshooting

If you're running into network connection problems when you try to connect your Samsung Blu-ray player to your Hulu Plus account, try connecting the player directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable if you're using a wireless connection. If problems persist, refer to the device-specific troubleshooting information on your Blu-ray player's manual.
