How to Open the Project Gallery

Click on the Microsoft Office program that you want to open. The first window that opens asks you to select a format for your document. The first option is a plain document that you can customize, but if you continue scrolling down you will see a variety of templates and project ideas that you can open and use. Depending on your version of Microsoft Office, click on the "Project Center" tab to view the template gallery. If the project gallery window does not open, click on "File" and then select "Project Gallery" or "New From Template" depending on your version of Microsoft Office.

Search for a Template

Depending on your version of Microsoft Office, you may have a search box in the project gallery. Enter a search term into the search box and press Enter. An applicable search term may be brochure, budget, agenda or cover letter. If you don't have a search box, you can search for templates by category. On the left side of the project gallery window you will see a list of template categories, such as business cards, invitations, and resumes. Click on a category to view its contents.

Scroll through all the templates to find the one that fits the needs of your current project. Click on a template to highlight it, and then click "Open" to open the template and use it. The template will open in a full size version.
