Richly hued flowers bring an instant tropical atmosphere to your reception. Many native tropical flowers are brilliantly colorful; create centerpieces out of orange African tulips, blue jacaranda blossoms, yellow heliconia and vivid purple dendrobium orchids. As an alternative, use flowers that grow closer to home, but choose tropical shades. Coral-colored roses, red chrysanthemums and bright blue daisies offer a playful tropical look while keeping hometown charm. For a personal touch, leave a colorful blossom on each guest's plate.
