Herbs play a significant part in the Herblore skill in the online game "RuneScape." Herblore is a member-only skill that requires players to make potions, which are used to improve skills during gameplay. For each potion, you must have one herb and a secondary ingredient. There are several types of herbs available, each having a grimy and clean form. Gathering herbs is highly profitable and several monsters drop herbs regularly.

Men and Women

Men and Women are Level 2 monsters who are located throughout Gielinor, including Lumbridge, Varrock, Falador and Ardougne. On member worlds, Men and Women drop several high-level herbs, such as Ranarr, Kwuarm, Irit, Avantoe, Dwarf Weed and Lantadyme. Men and Women fight using melee and have a maximum hit of 10 life points. Because Men and Women are low-level monsters, both low and high-level players can profit from killing Men and Women.

Chaos Druids are Level 13 monsters located in several locations throughout Gielinor, including the Yanille Agility Dungeon, Edgeville Dungeon, Taverly Dungeon, Chaos Druid Tower and the Edgeville Resource Dungeon. Chaos Druids usually drop at least one herb when killed, which can include Avantoe, Kwuarm, Ranarr, Lantadyme, Dwarf Weed and Cadantine. Druids fight using both melee and magic spells and have a maximum hit of 30 life points.

Cave Crawlers

Cave Crawlers are Level 23 monsters located in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon, Lumbridge Swamp Caves and the Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon. To kill a Cave Crawler, you must have Level 10 Slayer. Cave Crawlers have 230 life points and low defence but can poison you in combat. Although Cave Crawlers do not always drop herbs, they do drop Vials of Water and several secondary ingredients. Cave Crawlers can drop Ranarr, Avantoe, Lantadyme, Dwarf Weed and Kwuarm, sometimes in groups of two.
Flesh Crawlers

Flesh Crawlers are Level 28, 35 and 41 monsters located on the second floor of the Stronghold of Security. Each monster has a maximum hit of 16 life points and attack using melee. Flesh Crawlers are very aggressive monsters and can automatically attack if your combat level is not double the crawler's level. Flesh Crawlers often drop high-level herbs, including Ranarr, Kwuarm, Lantadyme, Dwarf Weed and Toadflax; however, the monster only drops one herb at a time.
Aberrant Spectres

Aberrant Spectres are Level 96 monsters located in the Morytania Slayer Tower and the Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon. To kill an Aberrant Spectre, you must have Level 60 Slayer. Aberrant Spectres have attack using magic spells and have a maximum hit of 119 life points. Aberrant Spectres do not always drop herbs but can drop between one and three herbs per drop, including Ranarr, Lantadyme, Dwarf Weed, Kwuarm and Cadantine.
