Problems With Outlook Text Shrinking
You may have received an email from someone who insists on sending emails in an unusually small font size, causing the email display to shrink in size. While this can be irritating, it isn't necessary to ignore this person's emails. A few changes in your Outlook settings can remedy the problem.
-
Highlight the Text in the Body of the Email
-
Most of the time, hitting "Control+A" will do this, but if this doesn't work you can just highlight the text in the email using the cursor.
Increase the Font Size
-
With the text still highlighted, click on the arrow next to the font size number above the message. Setting this number any higher than what it is will increase the size of the font.
-
Change the Font
-
If the font style of the incoming email also makes it difficult to read, selecting another font such as Calibri could make it easier for you. The font style will be listed directly to the left of the font size.
Unselect the Text in the Email
-
Once the font size and style have been changed, you can click anywhere on the screen outside of the body of the email to remove the highlighting from the text. You may not be able read the email without this step.
