Childrens' Bible Lessons & Crafts
Keeping children engaged during a Bible lesson can be a challenge. Hold their attention by finishing your Sunday school or children's church meeting with a craft related to the day's lesson. Kids will enjoy exercising their creativity and will also take home a craft to remind them of the Bible story.

Creation of Mankind
-
Use a cookie cutter to illustrate the Biblical story of creation found in the first two chapters of Genesis. Read the stories out loud and explain to kids that God made the first man, Adam, out of clay. Have kids use gingerbread man cut-outs to make "people" from crafting clay.
David and Goliath
-
Let kids decorate stones as you teach them the story of David and Goliath. Purchase smooth, flat rocks from a craft store. Give kids poster paint and glitter and help them decorate five stones however they like. Use a marker to write a letter of David's name on each of the kids' five stones. Tell them to carry their stones with them to remind them of David's faith and courage.

Salvation and John 3:16
-
Finish your lesson about salvation with a stuffed paper heart craft. Teach the children John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Let kids cut two heart-shaped pieces out of red construction paper. Staple the bottom and sides of the pieces together. Stuff the heart with cotton balls or shredded newspaper before stapling the top shut. Write the entire John 3:16 verse on each heart. Staple a piece of string to the top of the heart so kids can hang it in their rooms.
