Crafts for Kids
-
Create a magazine mosaic with your child. A mosaic is a picture that is crafted using small tiles. For this craft, you and your kids will use small square pieces cut out of magazines.
First draw a picture on the back of a sturdy paper plate. Cut out strips from magazines and group like colors together. Cut the strips into small squares and glue them into place. The size of the square does not need to be the exact shape or color. This gives some character to the finished product.
Crafts with Photos
-
Using photos in craft projects is an easy way to dress up a simple project. The supplies needed are few and inexpensive, and the finished item can double as a gift.
Create a photo card by using card stock, photos, photo corners, tape or glue, and ribbon. Attach the photo to the card stock and personalize the card with any stickers or stamp embellishments. The text can be a personal message or an inspirational quote.
Take the above project a step further and create a photo booklet. Cut two pieces of card stock in half lengthwise and attach the ends together with tape. Fold into equal squares and attach photos. Use ribbon to tie the booklet together.
