Lone Star Picnic Table

Create a Texas-themed picnic table by building a wooden picnic table from your choice of plans. Paint a Lone Star theme such as a depiction of the Texas flag or a shape of the state on top of the table. Seal with a few coats of lacquer for a protected and shiny finish.
Decorative Wood Blocks

Use five 3-1/4-inch square wood blocks to create a chic country style decoration for a Texas-lovers mantle or table. Sand down all the edges of each wood block before painting three blocks red and three blue and allowing to dry. Then use a stencil to pencil in the letters on the blocks (each block should have one letter on it). Then fill in the letters with a white paint pen to create the word "Texas" once all blocks are dry and displayed together.
