Kids Activities Regarding Making Positive Choices
Kids learn how to make positive choices through making as many choices in life as possible. Parents, teachers and caregivers can supplement choices in everyday life through specific activities to challenge kids and encourage positive choices. Games and role playing allow children to make a direct correlation between their choices and the results in their lives.

Offer Choices
-
Let children decide often. Offer options that you are willing to let your child choose. Ask questions or point out the choices and results they experience. Let kids decide if they think a choice is positive or negative.
Games
-
Video games and family games such as Monopoly or dress up have the potential to help kids learn how to make positive choices. Games that model healthy choices, such as eating fruits and vegetables or working out problems peacefully, can influence a child to do the same. Activities that allow children to make choices and decide if they like what they have chosen also help them learn to make positive choices.

Role Play
-
Kids learn about real life choices through role playing. If a child is having trouble with certain choices, you can role play with him so he can see the immediate results of his actions. For example, pretend you are a kid on the playground who is being harmful and allow your child to respond. Ask your child if he has other choices and what might happen if he makes another choice. Lead him to his own answers with gentle inquiry and role playing.
