Easy Dolphin Crafts
The easiest way to draw the shape of a dolphin is to trace over a photo. The tracing surface must be backlit, such as at a light table or window with sunlight shining through. Once the basic outline is captured, it is simple to construct arts and crafts projects featuring these playful, ocean creatures.

Dolphin Mobiles
-
Cut out four dolphins from blue foam paper. Paint them, or sprinkle on white and blue glitter. Poke a hole at the top of each, and a hole at the bottom of one. Tie string through the top holes of two dolphins, and hang them at equal lengths on the left and right of a horizontal wooden dowel. Hang the dolphin with two holes noticeably lower from the middle of the dowel. Tie string through its bottom hole to hang another dolphin.
Sponge Painting Dolphins
-
Cut sponges into dolphin shapes. Dip each into paint, press firmly on paper or an unfinished wooden craft, and carefully lift straight off. Paint in details and an ocean background. Sprinkle white, blue or silver glitter on the dolphins, and glue curled pieces of white and blue pipe cleaners underneath jumping dolphins to represent ocean waves.

Dolphin Suncatchers
-
Cut out a large dolphin from blue construction paper. Use a hobby knife to cut away the inside, leaving only an outline. Stick this paper outline onto a sheet of clear contact paper, and cut away the excess. Fill the inside with several pieces of overlapping, ripped colored tissue paper (blues, greens and white).
