Art Crafts for Kids
Kids love to keep busy and get involved with new projects as much as possible. Often, the best way to keep them occupied is by having them take on new arts and crafts projects. Combining elements of art and crafting allows them to exercise their creative muscles while having fun. There are many art crafts children can do at school or home.

Flower Pot
-
Redesigning a flower pot is the perfect springtime project. Give kids plastic or ceramic flowerpots, depending on their age. Have them outline a design on the flower pot in pencil, and then go over it with acrylic craft paints. The pots can be further embellished with items, such as decals and rhinestones, that can be found at any craft store. You can also help them plant a flower in the pot if you wish. They can practice their artistic skills while creating something that will make a great gift or go on display in their homes.
Greeting Card
-
As there always seems to be another holiday, celebration, or birthday right around the corner, kids can create a card for the occasion. Simply fold a piece of construction paper in half for them, and have them draw a piece of art on the front of the card. They can also draw on the inside and back of the card if they'd like. Have them work from a theme, thinking about the person or holiday while they design the card. You can even have them decorate an envelope in which to package the card.

Pipe Cleaner Art
-
Pipe cleaners are a versatile tool when it comes to arts and crafts. Give children an assortment of colored pipe cleaners and have them bend and twist the cleaners into figures. They may choose to make people, everyday items or an entire scene. If the activity is taking place in a group setting, have kids combine their figures in the end to create a large display.
