Pegboard Crafts
The only two things you can easily do with a pegboard is paint it and hang things on it, as cutting it often causes it to splinter. The most common use of a pegboard is to hang items for organization, such as tools in a garage or craft materials in an art room. The downside most often perceived with pegboard is its look; when unfinished pegboard is screwed to a wall other than in a garage or workshop, it can easily cheapen the look of the space. By incorporating your pegboard in a craft project, you may be able to improve its aesthetic appeal.

Paint
-
Depending on where and what your pegboard is mainly used for, you may want to paint it. You can paint it a solid color to match the other accessories of the room or go as far as painting a mural. If your pegboard is used in your garage to hang tools, consider painting a themed mural with hammers, nails, wrenches, a tool belt, a hard hat and other items. If you are hanging it in your kid's room for organization, let her paint her favorite cartoon character or a picture of each member in your family. The positive side of a pegboard mural is it can be taken down at anytime.
Hang
-
A pegboard is meant to hang items for organization, but it can be done in an aesthetically pleasing manner or in a manner solely intended to improve the look of the space. Consider hanging potted plants from hooks and chains. Attach a hook and string to your children's art projects, such as paintings, puppets and clay figures, and hang these on the pegboard to display them. The way you hang your items on the pegboard has an effect on how the pegboard looks in the space.
