Christmas Tree Handprint Crafts
A Christmas tree craft project does not have to be difficult. All kids need is -- literally -- their hands. A series of overlapped handprints with downward-pointing fingers resembles pine tree needles. Once the trees are made, kids will enjoy decorating their own Christmas tree.

Paper Tree
-
Trace around hands on green construction paper, and cut out about 15 to 20 handprints. Glue these into the triangular shape of a Christmas tree onto a large sheet of paper. Start with the bottom row and move upward. Glue on a star, ornaments and garland made out of colored construction paper. Sprinkle on glitter.
Paint Tree
-
Dip hands into non-toxic green paint, and press them onto a sheet of paper multiple times to form a triangular fir tree shape. Start with the bottom row and work upward, and consider using various shades of green. Decorate the Christmas tree with a variety of paint colors, and paint presents underneath the tree. Paint in a fireplace or other creative background.

3-D Tree
-
Trace handprints onto green construction, felt or foil paper, and cut them out. Secure a row of handprints at the tops around the bottom of a large Styrofoam cone using toothpicks, push pins or glue. Let the fingers drape over the bottom. Continue upward adding more overlapping rows of handprints to conceal pins or toothpicks. Decorate the finished tree with objects, such as popcorn, pompoms, cotton balls, buttons, gum drops and yarn. Add a candy or a star on top.
