Turkey Paper Plate Crafts
During the Thanksgiving season, or any time of the year, if you're looking for a simple turkey craft to make, consider making one out of a paper plate. A turkey paper plate craft is fairly simple to create and is ideal for children. The final product can be used as decoration.

Simple Turkey

This paper plate craft is for preschool- and kindergarten-aged children. Children color a paper plate dark brown. Trace one of their feet onto a piece of light brown construction paper, and have them cut the footprint out and glue it to the center of the paper plate, creating a head for the turkey. Then glue googly eyes to the top of the footprint and glue feathers around the top half of the rim of the paper plate.
Three Plate Turkey Craft

This craft is a bit more complex and is better suited for older children. Glue the bottom rim of a small paper plate to the top rim of a larger paper plate. A smaller paper plate is then cut in half and each half is glued to either side of the large plate for wings. Cut a triangle from yellow construction paper for a beak and a waddle from red construction paper, and glue them in the appropriate spots on the small plate. Two googly eyes attached to the small plate and feathers glued around the top outer rim of the large plate complete the project.
