The Hello Kitty crafts can be taken home with the guests as party favors. Thrift stores also often have great items that can be used to decorate crafts. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Door Knob Hangers

    • Making door knob hangers is a craft project appropriate for all ages interested in Hello Kitty. You can purchase foam or a stock card door knob hanger at a craft store. There are sites on the Internet that have door knob hanger templates to print. The door knob hanger can be white or pink; both Hello Kitty colors. Set up a craft table for guests to sit around to make their crafts. Have plenty of markers, gel pens, glitter glue, craft foam shapes and stickers for decorating.

    Hello Kitty Collars

    • Making Hello Kitty craft collars is a nice way for guests to spend time together making something pretty to wear home. There are Hello Kitty Collar craft kits, but if you want to buy your own supplies, they are easy to make. The collars are quite simple. Give each of the girls a length of elastic thread purchased from a craft or sewing store. Have plastic beads and craft alphabet beads in bowls around the table. Let the girls use their imaginations to make their Hello Kitty collar. One idea is to suggest they spell their own cat's name with the beads.

    Hello Kitty Ears

    • Making a pair of Hello Kitty barrette ears is a good party craft activity. Before the party begins, cut out kitty ears from pink and white faux fur. Make four sets of ears for each guest. Glue two fur ears to the back side of each piece of fabric making sure the fur is on outside of the ears. When guests arrive, have them glue felt and beads onto their pair of ears. Use hot glue to attach the ears to craft barrettes. Let the girls wear their kitty ears during the party.
