  1. Sausage Stuffings

    • Sausage is a popular meat that's used in stuffings, and there are many sausages from which to choose. For example, if you want to have a Cajun influence in your stuffing, you can make a cornbread-andouille stuffing by combining a third cup of chopped red onions, a half cup of chopped celery, a few teaspoons of crushed garlic, one cup of chopped and cooked andouille sausage, two cups of cubed cornbread, two eggs, your favorite spices and three-fourths of a cup of chicken stock. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.

    Turkey Stuffing

    • This is a popular stuffing that's served during Thanksgiving or other special occasions, and there are countless ways to add your own flair. One idea is to fix a turkey, apple, raisin and walnut stuffing. In a bowl, combine two cups of cooked ground turkey, two chopped onions, a cup of peeled and diced apples, a half cup of golden raisins, a cup of chopped walnuts, two eggs, three cups of bread cubes, spices, three chopped celery stalks, three chopped cloves of garlic and a half cup of chicken broth. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Pork Stuffing

    • Pork is another good meat to use in stuffing. You don't always have to prepare your pork stuffing with just vegetables or wild rice. You can also turn this into primarily a fruit-and-meat type of stuffing. Fruits that go well with pork include apricots, raspberries, cherries and raisins. For a fruit and pork stuffing, combine two cups of ground pork, a cup of your choice of peeled and diced fruits, three cups of bread cubes, a fourth cup of chicken stock, two eggs, a cup each of chopped onion, garlic and celery, and spices such as salt, cinnamon, cayenne and black pepper. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
